Ipsos restaurant is a Great Ocean Road dining institution known for its refined yet authentic take on traditional Greek food. This is not your average Greek taverna. But rather an adaption of the ethos of homely Greek cooking, found in the villages of mainland Greece, to a modern Australian context. The restaurant and food lend themselves to groups enjoying the pleasures of a shared table.

Driven by seasonal and local produce, the menu presents embedded signature dishes amongst plates that change by season.

The venue was the site of the famous Kosta’s Restaurant, run by Pam and Kosta Talimanidis, 1976 to 2003. In November 2015, after a 12 year hiatus from the space, Pam and Kosta returned, with their son Dominic, to continue a tradition of restaurants on the Great Ocean Road which spans nearly 5 decades. Ipsos Restaurant has held one hat status from The Age Good Food Guide from 2019 through to 2024.

Ipsos offers stylish yet homely dishes inspired by Greece, the Mediterranean and Asia Minor. Pam Talimanidis oversees a modern menu which pays homage to the traditional without being constrained by it.

“Simple, seasonal, and fresh. Just like the food we eat at home. This is a family restaurant which provides great experiences for customers, but also for us.”
- Dominic Talimanidis
